    NJ Copper

Well, I have always wanted a New Jersey Colonial Copper coin. So, tonight I traded (15) mixed 40% silver half dollars for one!

A good trade and I am happy with my first NJ Copper.

As you can see, it was improperly cleaned at some point. Too bad...

Looks like that coin was from a time long ago Ben, probably from around the time when I was born!

Submit your age to Guinness. You might be the longest living person ever. You would be about 225 years old.
1/100 of an American dollar is a cent. It is NOT a penny. The word penny is used by several other countries, such as Great Britain, to denote their smallest denomination. In order to be numismatically correct, you must use the term cent to describe the American coin.

Agreed on the variety. I say "Fine-12 (details), improperly cleaned". What do you think?

You know, even though I collect colonials I don't get hung up on numerical grade. There are so many variations, planchet quality, strike, color, surfaces. I would say it has decent surfaces, color is off from the cleaning but may retone.
