weird error 1991 P Rosevelt dime

So I found this in one of those grocery store coin counting machines along with 2 silver rosevelt dimes what kind of error is this and is it valuable as you can see the heads and tails sides of the dime look fine but when you look on the side of the dime very strange

looks like a clad dime , what are saying look funny

The last picture the dime has this split groove all the way around there is a layer in the center that looks like copper and the heads and tail sides are seperated like its a dime sandwitch lol ive never seen anything like it before

is it smooth or reeded on the copper ? or somone was filing it out to make a two headed coin

The copper part of the dime is smaller than the heads and tails of the dime making it look like a dime sandwitch

I think it is a partial collar error. Which should have been fixed a long time ago by the us government when they upgraded there machines

Actually I believe it is called a railroad rim error

There is no word limit on posts. Therefore, you can post many things in one post. Also, the coin may be PMD, as a had a dime that I put in vinegar, and the copper part sunk inward.

Could be a error caused by the upsetting mill that rolls the flange on to the planchet before it is struck. Is it the same thickness as a normal dime? Or thicker?

Same thickness as far as I can tell.

I agree with sagittarius98.It's acid dipped or some other highly corrosive chemical that was introduced to your dime .The core of a dime is pure copper with an outer layer of nickel bonded to the core.Copper is a much softer metal so the reaction to acid happens with the copper first.Sorry but it's PMD

Possibly vinegar, that happened to me when I put my dime in vinegar.
