Double struck dime

I don't know squat about misstruck coins but I understan that they are somewhat collectable. I got a 1980 dime in change at the grocery store last week and just wondered if it was worth anything? I usually don't pay much attention to pocket change but this dime drew my attention as the face on the coin is sunk in and looks like it is in a picture frame. The back of the coin is completely flat with no rim at all to speak of. It's a 1980 Rosy and when viewed under magnificationt there is a distinct line on the face between the two different strikes. I don't have a picture of it at hand , but I think anyone that knows coins knows what I am talking about.Monty

Sounds like it's a hammer job /vice job Two coins are put together and squeezed in a vice or smashed with a hammer.The absence of the rim on the reverse is a give away to PMD Post mint damage.A Picture could confirm this.Either way keep looking
