Canadian Pennies
Hello i had a question or two about are neighbors to the north, i herd that Canada stopped production of the penny. well I'm a penny saver and i live in the U.P and i get a lot of Canadian coins found in circulation. i was just wondering if it was legal to actually melt them now.

Never
1/100 of an American dollar is a cent. It is NOT a penny. The word penny is used by several other countries, such as Great Britain, to denote their smallest denomination. In order to be numismatically correct, you must use the term cent to describe the American coin.
