I have an almost complete set in a Dansco album. My other ASE's are in mint tubes.

Me personally I enjoy the Dansco albums. True you will pay a little more but I feel as if it is well worth it. I currently have the ASE DANSCO album and I love it. I also have the dansco album for Lincoln pennies love it. You can see both sides of the coin and really appreciate the beauty of them. I also have owned the dansco album for the ASE proof issues. So I guess to sum it up I am a dansco man. I order them from eBay from a really well known seller and have had no problems. Hope this helps!

This is how I store, display, and preserve mine. All the duplicate into the tubes and others in albums. When one album is full I just get another one and fill it.

Thanks, Dusty! Good stuff! Trying to keep mine in mint condition. Are yours still in mint condition as I believe there are chemicals in the plastic that can errode the coins?

That I do not know there is so many variables to consider when it comes to how a coin gets a tone to it. Some holders even put chemical onto them to make it tone quicker. Mine are perfectly fine and Yes mint condition. Toning on a coin does not effect the strike if the coin was in mint condition when it was stored it will remain in mint condition. The Dansco holds them very nicely. I am about to purchase one for the Silver Maple Leafs also. Unfortunately they do not make one yet for the Silver Panda but it is close to the same dimension as the ASE so it fits nicely! How are you collecting? Just buying one or two here and there?

Your perception of the plastic causing problems is due to the older vinyl flips that would degrade and literally impart a green slime on a coin. The plastic in Dansco or Intercept Shield albums is chemically inert. The plastic will not cause problems.

Dusty mentioned Dansco. They are a fine album, but be aware that they are not all created equal. Older Dansco albums (even new ones from older inventory) will not have the same protection as Intercept Shield albums. (Dusty, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the two.) But with Intercept Shield, there is a chemical in the cardboard page that prohibits the sulfur in the paper from reacting with the coin. When you see coins that have been stored in older Dansco albums, you will notice a "halo" on the coin's rim/edge. This "halo" is caused by toning due to the interaction of the sulfur in the cardboard page. Not a big deal, but the Intercept Shield only costs a few bucks more.

Very well said and I agree. Guess it comes down to which one works best for you and What is in your budget. Thanks for the added comments.
