British Sovereigns

I have a collection of British Sovereigns dating from 1899 to 1973 (obviously not the years they stopped making sovereigns!) All are 22k gold and are in excellent shape (close to uncirculated). I am trying to find values for them, but there are no places near me that deal with anything except old American coins. I want to know if they are worth selling as coins or just as melt gold. Any help would be appreciated! :)

A 1917 sovereign would sell for 12K in MS, otherwise, all are worth melt.

You should be able to get over melt for them as there are lots of us that are buying that have to pay 3-5% over melt at the bullion shop. But there is something to be said for convenience.
