I am hopeing someone can give me an idea at what I have found. I got this coin as a cashier about 20 years ago and bought it out of the till. Even then the coin's appearance and peculiar ability wasn't lost on me. It is an american quarter dated 1971 that has all the required stuff that any other quarter has. the only thing is that this quarter has no copper in it and you can actually bend it. There no hidden hinge that tells me that it is a magician's coin and there is no C or copy inprint on the coin. Unfortunately without a camera I can't post pics of it. But really there is no difference between it and a normal quarter other than the bendable ability. Does anyone knwo what I have? Is it a counterfeit coin or a really bizearre error coin?
