I am figuring this is colored or something but I am not sure how to tell.

I dont think such a quarter ever existed. I tried scratching the edge with my fingernail but no luck. Just wanted to get some thoughts. Thank you for any insight.

Just dirty from being in the ground. Bronze quarter erros do exist, but unfortunately, yours is not one of them.

nice patina on the coin though nice for a collection did you dig it out of the ground... HH
