Well I wouldn't put it under a train! Your coin has nice detail, but the corrosion would bring it down. The Ryder 9 is not a terribly rare coin, but the only use of the baby head obverse makes it a desirable type coin. I was able to find a nicer one that sold for 650, and one that showed slightly more wear but had nicer surfaces priced at $579. I don't know if it sold for that or not, but it may give you some idea of the value of yours.

thanks for the information, i wouldnt flatten it, just kidding! i was thinking it might be worth a few hundred bucks, but really desperately wanted it to top the one i saw that sold for 34,000.00
