silver Virginia quarter?

The ridges are solid silver. It appears to be silver but its a P?

There were no silvers made at the P mint. It may just be cladding that was drawn down during the stamping.

Yea I was going to weigh it later. I don't have another Virginia to weigh it with though, will a normal quarter work?

A normal quarter should work for comparison. The Blanks all weigh the same, so they should weigh the same once stamped.

Both weigh 5.70g so Idk why its edges are silver

I've gotten a few that had completely silver edges. Never thought much about it since they were Ds or Ps. Just figured the cladding came down, like Jason mentioned.

Uneven cladding? There are a lot of reasons.

Probably someone painted it in silver color on the edge.
