ALL Chinese Republic coins like that are immediate suspects for counterfeits. Your coin looks a bit "mushy" to me and so that would be an immediate concern to know if your coin was genuine or not, although there aren't enough indicators for me to say for sure your coin is a fake I wouldn't buy it if I saw it on eBay.

First, take a magnet to your coin, if it sticks it is 100% fake without a doubt.

If the magnet doesn't stick, weigh your coin and see if it weighs as much as a genuine coin. The problem is, I can't seem to find a reference to the actual weight of a genuine coin, so perhaps someone with Krause can tell you how many grams it should weigh.
