Lines right of the head

On this 1984 penny there's little lines in a circle that look like a fingerprint. I tried to wash/rub it off but it's still there. Also the D is VERY thick

It is probably just rippling in the Copper Plating over the Zinc Core due to a air bubbles being trapped under the Copper when applied but also could be the result of environmental damage! Environmental contaminants do a number on the Copper Plated Zinc Cents.
