Liberty Nickel planchet error????

Ok, so i purchased some liberty nickels on Tuesday and started going through some of my doubles. I found this guy, which i bought as a younger child. Probably around 10 years old. Now at first glance it looks like some solder was splattered onto the coin or some other PMD. However, if you look closely u can see that the star is punched into the splatter mark. Thus my question is, was this some sort of error on the planchet? What are yalls opinions on this little guy. I'm hoping my child self made a good buy.

Looks like a possible die crack.

I believe that the Die was shattering and that was probably the very last coin struck with it!
