Hi all,

I found this coin a wile back and have had no luck identifying it. It appears to be cast rather than stamped. LOL, I'm not even quite sure which way is up to be quite honest! Is there anyone here fluent in Asian coins? I dug this in NY at a sight producing objects from 1761 to present. This one just looks old & possibly Bronze! Slightly larger than a quarter.

Any info (year, time period, origin) would be greatly appreciated! Thank You... Jim

I think it's a Chinese cash coin, but that's about as far as my knowledge goes. I did a quick Google search and this site may help you. The links on that page are actually the numbers 1, 2, and 3, not easily seen at first!
