No! Most countries followed suit of the U.S. Mints and did away with Silver coinage at the end of 1964. While the compositions vary from country to country and year to year, they should be somewhat similar to our' U.S. clad coinage! However, most countries still issue Silver coinage in commemorative, special issue and memorial coins.

1970 half franc is copper nickel, 1966 Canadian dime is 80% silver.
