I have three small velvet pouches of coins, they hold US, foreign, and misc. tokens I have hung onto over the years. I have no idea where to start at determining a fair value for it all. No clue about what books would be good to start with, or where I could get a fair opinion local. I know I have some silver, and I know at least a couple of the old mexican pesos have silver in them. But I also have some from the middle east that feel like they would have silver in them, but I cant read them! Anyway, getting pointed in the right direction to get started would be nice, and I thank you in advance-

Joe

Here are a few scans, I have a lot more, but thought I would start with these. Anything you can tell me about them would be great, and again, looking for books/websites on the subject to do research as well, thank you in advance.

The 1776-1976 Eisenhower dollar is common, worth a buck, spend it. The other two dollar coins, the 1882 and 1900, can we see the reverses? They are worth at least $20 each. The 1936 is a walking liberty half dollar, probably worth about $8 in that condition.

Some more

here are the back of the coins you wanted to see. I also scanned in some pennies and a few nickles. I dont know why it scanned it as one pic, but if you have any problems with dates and such just ask. I am also very interested in how to preserve these coins, any suggestions about that would be more than welcome!

Morgans are common dates, $20-$25 each. The cents are worth about 3-4 cents each. The nickels are all worth face.

If you want to keep them for viewing, get some 2X2's or flips and put them in a binder. Personally, I'd keep the silver and maybe the U.S. copper, and spend the rest.

Thank you, most of it will be kept, just because of family ties of from who it came from, I am guessing by 2x2 you mean the little plastic windows with cardboard around them?

yes you should be able to pick them up for 5 cents apiece at a coin store
