Its actually not in "good" shape, from a numismatic sense its at the middle to lower end of the spectrum having been highly circulated. You could still get a small premium over melt which is about $1.60. On ebay, by itself you might get someone to pay $5, in my area they sell at melt to $2.50.

Thanks for all the info. This was my first merc and I got it out of my back yard so I was just curious. I'll probably be keeping it but wanted to know more about what I had.

Yeah actually it was. You must have seen my posts. My first time out in the back yard with the NEL I got this at 9" about 15 minutes into using it. Luck or the coil I'm not really sure but happy either way.

As for grade, I'd give it a VG. As for value, nothing over spot unless it's a 42 over 1. Then you're talking a few hundred dollars.
