Found it in my change today, whats everyone's opinion on it, error? I think it's a novelty. any way nice find in some change i got. one side is P mint mark, the other is worn but looks like it might be a D, which is a dead giveaway to me. Silly post, thought id share. - at least it's worth more than 25cents!

Not an error.

Yep! It is similar to a Magician's coin but I have never seen one where two Quarters were sawn in half, then the two Obverses glued or soldered together. These are normally made by hollowing out the Reverse of one coin just inside the rim with a Lathe, then cutting or grinding the Reverse and rim off of another coin, so that it fill fit into the hollowed out coin. Sometimes it is glued to stay in place but some are made thin enough that it creates a compartment when they are put together, so that a note, a picture or other keepsake can be hidden within.
