I found this in the coin machine. What is it?

I found a foreign that says Hu-peh province? Its really faded and that is all I can make out, but it has a dragon or snake on it. I am going to try to post a picture of it later from my phone. Normally coins like these get thrown out, but I took it before it got trashed. Any one know what this is?? It is pretty large and has a nice weight on it.

is it copper or silver ? -either way its an old Chinese "dragon" coin * and said to bring "good luck" to the owner by the way.--the copper ones are called "cash coins" and vary in size by "value " say 20 cash , 10 cash

those coins were heavily faked in China...the real ones are silver and have some value

I'd check it with a magnet I picked one up for a dollar a while back when I got home it slammed into my magnet it was just silver plated steel

Checked with a magnet and it's silver plated steel which sucks, but I still like the coin.
