I bought a 1909-1940 Lincoln cent album at a yard sale for $15, and I think I did pretty good. Here is a list of the contents- 1909vdb (wheat ears are nice and full), 1909, 1910, 1911, 1911d, 1912, 1912d, 1913, 1913d, 1914, 1914s, 1915, 1916, 1916d, 1916s, 1917, 1917d, 1917s, 1918, 1918d, 1918s, 1919, 1919d, 1919s, 1920, 1920d, 1920s, 1921, 1923, 1924, 1925, 1925d, 1925s, 1926, 1926d, 1926s, 1927, 1927d, 1927s, 1928, 1928d, 1928s, 1929, 1929d, 1929s, 1930, 1930d, 1930s, 1931, 1934, 1934d, 1935, 1935d, 1935s, 1936, 1936d, 1936s, 1937, 1937d, 1937s, 1938, 1938d, 1938s, 1939, 1939d, 1939s, 1940, 1940d, and 1940s.

I will post a picture of the 1909 vdb in a little while. If there are others you want me to post a picture of just let me know.

you did well.. the early D's pays for it, and a little profit.

Yup, the 11D, 12D, and 26S are worth more (in the same condition) than the 09VDB. The 13D is about the same in relative value. How they grade will determine if it's a good buy or not but from the sound of it, you did well.

Here is the 1909 vdb. The wheat ears are full on the back. My camera wouldn't focus for some reason.

Yeah, you did good! Without considering any of the other coins, if the 1914-S is better than Good condition, then it will more than pay for the entire Album of Cents.

You're right Frank! I missed that one somehow. As for the ones shown, the '09VDB is a VF-20 but the rest would net a G-4 at best. The damage might knock the price down a bit more.

I am hoping that the 1914-S is in much better condition and the O.P will post some pics of it. However, based on the other Cents with the exception of the 1909-P VDB, there doesn't appear to be much hope!

Here is the 1914 s. It would be pretty nice if it didn't have a few scratches.

Yeah, the damage kinda kills the value. If it didn't have the cuts, it would grade "Fine" on the obverse and VG on the reverse with a value somewhere in between.
