Ancient coin? Identification help request

So I was going through some of my fathers old coins that my mother gave me and found this one. I have been unable to identify it and I am hoping that the experts here will have some input. image.jpg image.jpg

The lighting for the pictures wasn't the best. The coin is actually gray and approximately the diameter of a US nickel but thinner.

A little closer to yours might be this one:
RIC 177b, RSC 15 AR Antoninianus Obv: CVALENSHOSTILMESQVINTVSNC, radiate and draped bust right.
Rev: MARTIPROPVGNATORI, Mars advancing right, holding spear in right hand and shield on left arm.
Notice the spear stays atop the shield in this one (like yours) versus the position of the shield in my first post.
Granted, a very subtle difference.

I think you nailed it. Thank you so much! It's pretty amazing to find this amongst my fathers old Canadian pennies. The kids were astonished at the age of it.
