1917 S wheat penny with strange error

I have recently found a 1917 S wheat with a round circle like stamp over the "LIBE" in liberty and also on the reverse side of the coin. Under my jewelers loop you can almost make out a B or a D. very interesting! if anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it. Sorry these were the best pictures I could get. Cheers!

I am also sorry but the pics are too blurry at full zoom to make anything out! It appears that the coin may have been drilled, then someone soldered the hole.

It's not an error. It was done by someone outside the mint. Pmd.

Still doesn't matter. Whether there are letters or not they were added outside the mint.
