While in Ecuador I found a few rare 4 reales and 8 reales Coins. This coin being the most unusual. I found a picture on the NGC site of a Km#pn8 which is not it. The Km# pn9 does not have a picture but if you click select says it has reeded edge. My coin shows it has it. Could this coin be a fake? Any info, opinions or contact info on a expert in this area would be appreciated. Thanks Simon

You have the reeded edge, a characteristic of pn#9 though I, too, cannot find an image of that coin.
Any coin depicted on Treasure Net (or anywhere else) has the possibility of being a copy, repo or whatever you wish to call it. But in the absence of we knowing what a real 'ph#9' looks like, and with the chance that I am wrong, I have no problem in saying your coin appears to be real.
Don...
