That thing is a beaut! My only "CC" has a huge X on the front for some reason

She's a beaut!! The main concerns on a coin of that potential value would be authenticity and whether or not it has been cleaned. I am not a professional but it doesn't look uncirculated to me. Having said that, those marks on the cheek are a bit distracting and could affect the value.
A good place to start, as far as getting a value, would be your local coin shop. Always being able to have the coin in hand while assessing it is better.

eBay is probably your best route but you could try Craigslist! I am sorry to tell you but the coin is not mint! If it were not for the many scratches, nicks, dings, other hits, it might go AU-50 but as is, it probably would only grade at an EF-40. The best price you could possibly get is somewhere between $100 and $130.

I agree with Frank on this. Too many scratches to be mint.

XF45 is what I would judge it to be.

Bag marks are quite common, especially on CC coins. They, by themselves will never make an UNCIRCULATED coin Circulated... HOWEVER, the coin you have seems, from the picture, to have evidence of wear on the highest points of the cheek and the head dress. There is also evidence in the fields. xf 40 to 45 is my guess, without having seen the coin in person.

Best of luck, if you do take it to a coin shop be very cautious if they ask " Whats it worth to you". Its how the bottom feeders get around legal issues paying far less what the coins worth.
Sometimes its best to pay a small appraisal fee. To keep things on the up and up.
One things for sure.. I'd love to have it in my collection.. lol

I'm a colonial guy and not a Morgan dollar guy so you can take this any way you want. First off, ALL date and mint mark Morgan dollars are common. Yes, the 1893-s, 1895 proof and all the rest of them are common compared to colonials. As a result, little differences in grading don't mean much although the hype people and crooks would have you believe otherwise. You have a decent coin. I think the others have pretty much hit the mark with that 45-50 grade. As everyone is going off a photo, it could be a different thing when seeing the coin. CC mint marks are always popular. Between the government release of silver dollars and the Redfield hoard CC dollars are no longer as rare as they were in the early 60's. Nice coin.

If I got that coin from my "Pops" the value is worth way more than the $100 or 2 that you might get..
