Need help in identifying a Roman Coin

Recently found what I think is a real Roman coin. How do I go about verifying if it is authentic versus being someones souvenir replica? The coin has Jupiter with quadrigia (horses) on the back with ROMA and L. MINVC underneath. The profile of ROMA with XVI ligature behind the head. It measures about 35 mm and weighs 15 grams (0.5 oz). Looks like it may be made of bronze. Hopefully I can attach pictures for all to see. OK, I'm having trouble attaching pictures so until I figure that out this is the best info I can give you.

Many many thanks, Levensteen. I will check it out. Was hoping for a coin but being a medal sounds more realistic. Don't see any area for a hole as used for a pendant. Probably just someone's souvenir. Very much appreciated.
