Unless you really want it, I'd say no. Anyone disagree? Personally, I save all of my Canadian change, but that's just because I like saving Canadian change. :)

If you get 2 more of them they would be worth 1 American cent.

Not anymore. The Canadian dollar is now almost on parity with the U.S. dollar. In other words, wow! times have changed!

I guess what i actually should have asked is, was the coin mostly made of copper and does anyone know if it has any value more than its face value.

Canadian cents minted from 1942-1996 contain 98% copper and average 49 grains in weight.Scrap copper prices at $2.65 per pound would make the penny worth 1.8 cents.

The U.S. cent contains 95% copper and averages about 1 grain lighter in weight than the Canadian cent so it would be worth about 1.7 cents with copper scrap prices at $2.65 per pound.
