An ASE at $20 would be a decent deal. Also, $125 for the trade dollar is highly suspect. That is at least a $500 coin.

$28 seems high for a ASE. Hope you didn't buy a counterfeit trade dollar. If its real i think you made up for buying the ASE at a higher price.

Stars on obverse look wrong, date looks wrong, eagles head looks wrong, "R" in DOLLAR looks weak towards the bottom, mintmark looks wrong, wear on obverse is inconsistent with the wear on the reverse.

I have to agree with Ben. Too many inconsistencies on this coin. Wear patterns, lettering, even the motto on the pedestal looks suspect. I will admit, however, that it is frequently difficult to judge a coin based on poor quality images paired with trifocals.

I had told the guy that it looked different than other Trade Dollars I had seen, and he told me that there were many different varieties of a trade dollar, so they sold it to me as an authentic coin. What do you think I should do now?
