I came across this today in a horde of jewelry I bought. The money clip itself is just base metal. The coin does test for silver. Now I'm only able to show one side because the other one is mounted however I guess is it a real coin? And if so or even if not real, what kind of coin might it be? Thank you for your help!

Normally, a 1700s era coin on a money belt would strike me as a fake immediately, but you said it tested for silver. What percent silver? With me just looking at it, it looks like a fake, but I have never heard of a cheap-looking fake be made out of silver.

I think you're right. It's a fake it slightly tested for silver and not nearly as much when I tested it against a silver Washington quarter. So most likely just plated. Thank you for your help.
