1st - I noticed this was your very first post - so, Welcome Aboard! Take a look at Sub-Forums: Wyoming for information (i.e., clubs, etc.) directly related to your state.

Interesting. I have not yet seen one like this but I wouldn't know how it was done Post mint without ruining the edges. Some experts will chime in. Welcome Aboard. Good Luck and Happy Hunting

Likely a heavily grease clogged Die. However, it is possible that it could be man made manipulation and a pic is needed of the Obverse to rule this out or in.

give us a photo of both sides in outdoor daylight, as tight as possible with a light tilt to look for buffing marks (not likely). as Frank thinks--- a likely greaser. be aware that this coin also has a known die clash where "old man" motto is visible on the obverse. that is one error I would like to score.

Something else. This rock formation, to my understanding doesn't exist anymore.

True, the rock formation collapsed a few years ado, I saw it before it came down
it was cool but you had to see it at a precise angle

Welcome aboard! I also concur with a grease filled die, which prevented it from striking correctly. Yes, they are worth more than 25 cents.

Thanks for the input. I'll try to get better pictures of both sides today. But may be a few days -- kinda windy here in Wyoming and I don't want it to blow away LOL
