My luck like always this is probably nothing but I wanted to ask on here first before I put it up for auction online. But the 1882 has something going on. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

The stars on each side of the date have some of that doubling too. Cool find. It's probably just some machine doubling, but, it might bring more interest in your sale. I'd point it out in the ad.

While actual Double Die doubling is sometimes more flat on the Morgan Silver Dollars, I would have to agree with cudamark that it appears to be machine doubling. Take some very good close-up pics of both the Obverse and Reverse and the doubling and shoot them off to the folks at VamWorld (www.vamworld.com) and see what they say. Although I have no idea if the coin was minted at Denver, Philadelphia, New Orleans or San Francisco, I checked the normal suspect Philadelphia minted 1882 Morgan Silver Dollar VAMs and could not find a match.
