Another massive pawn find here. A 1900 O/CC Vam-10A. The Vam isn't recognized by grading companies but still cool nonetheless. I am hoping this coin pulls MS 60+ looking at similar coins online it has a very good chance, it was stored in this airtight capsule which is good, no fingerprints or anything. I paid a whopping $15 for this coin! Also should note the capsule has scratches not the coin. Still think it's crazy how such a little error separates a $50 coin from a $500 coin.

Nice find! At $15 you stole the coin. I cherrypicked one many years ago myself but could not tell you what I paid for it nor what I resold it for. Even with compression on the Eagle's Breast and scratches on the Obverse, I believe the coin will easily make MS-60 and possibly MS-62 as a lot of the Graders do not subtract too much on these as long as the coin has great "Eye Appeal" and they don't detract from that eye appeal. You should make quite a bit off the resell since it is in on the Top 100 list and is a Super Elite CD in the VAM World of collecting. The Die Clashing on both the Obverse and Reverse is what rockets it to a much higher level than a mere VAM-10.

I usually take pictures at night using one light over head. I also use my phone, they are pretty good but far from being amazing haha!

Oh I also want to note when I opened up the capsule on the inside there was a fingerprint. Knowing the pawn shop this came from, they pick up every coin by the face, I used the same technique I used when I had to remove a finger print on my 1902 S using a little bit of acetone, just a short soak and rinse. Just to be safe, honestly at that shop you never know. I think they were the ones who put it in the capsule.

Got it sent in. The general consensus seemed to be AU 58 no lower with a slight chance of going higher but unlikely. I would be ecstatic if I could just get an MS 60. I'll know by mid August!

LOL I used a magnifying glass in front of the camera on my phone! It works very nicely, Galaxy S6 Edge.
