This is pretty cool....Been collecting coins for years. Recently I was coin roll hunting when I came across this lincoln claw foot. Looked at it under my microscope and was pretty blown away. Most likely just a damaged coin from circulation, but it is a pristine eagle talon! What do you guys think? One in a million die error....or damaged coin from circulation. Cool other way.

Yeah.....Was still super exciting to find. Lucky damage, perfectly placed.

Neat find, looks like PMD a ding at the right place from another coin or object. I agree that it looks more like a lions paw than a claw, however a good find.

Thanks! I have an old microscope that I modified so my DSLR camera can attach to it. Pretty cool. This is low magnification. I can see red blood cells at full magnification! And microbes in pond water. Pretty fun!

Wouldn't it be something if we can pull a DNA from a coin, to see who touched it. Wow, that would be interesting.
