As is my habit in the evening, I was wading through coins accumulated during the past year. It helps pass the winter months when not metal detecting. I have a healthy stack of 1972s and began going through them last night at a leisurely pace. Tonight, well, I almost jumped out of my seat!!

I hope this is clear enough for someone to make a positive type ID on this one.
Thanks to all who contribute...............

If you look at "IN GOD WE TRUST" in the 1st enlarged picture, Terry, you should see double (side by side) lettering. In "LIBERTY" the doubling will be top to bottom and you can also see doubling in the date at the top of the 1, 7, 2 and in the tail of the 2. The Red Book values an MS example of this coin at $650.
The second coin/picture has the same/similar characteristics.........the picture is not as clear

Uh, no. $650 is for the big one. It has extreme spread on all devices. This isn't the big one. Back in a sec with the value on this one.

If it is 008 like I believe, in MS-65 it has a value of $25.

I believe it to be 1972P-1DO-008. Nice find!

You nailed it, enamel7...........the CONECA rep just left my house after examining my coins.
The 1st Lincoln shown is, indeed, a 1DDO-008. The 2nd coin pictured is 1DDO-003.
I am not the least bit disappointed.......it's, as you said, a "nice find"!!
