That's all damage that occurred after minting. It's technically worth more than a penny because it is copper, but you're not allowed to melt it down so I'd just spend it.

I won't put in my two-cents of info on this one, cuz it's only worth a penny (more for its copper as $.02). It could be mistaken as a WAR PENNY (not a 1943-steel) that lost a battle.
