Can you tell me exactly how you acid treat them to get the date? I have a whole roll of dateless Indians. Gary

Slightly freeze vinegar to a slush, insert coin vertically in slush........wait 5 to 10 minutes and remove. Don't walk away or you could ruin the coin.
You could add a touch of H2O2 to the vinegar and freeze to slush.......same time frame.
The liquid will turn green........means it is working...........

Thanks Chizzy. Don, a buff with no date is worth what? 5 cents at most? I don't think it's possible to reduce the value of a used up nickel short of destroying it. Better living through chemistry! Gary
