I don't know much about foreign silver.
Bought this at my coin club tonight at an auction we have when we get together.
I thought it looked good for $5. When it came up I was the only to bid on it. So, $5 it was.
I thought not bad for $5 and knowing nothing about this coin.

Came home and looked it up. From what I read there seems to be a lot of counterfeits floating around.
Also, this coin is facing the opposite direction of the authentic coins I found across the internet.
It is seated left; where as , all the others I see except for a few are seated to the right.
With all this being said. What do I have?
Real. Fake. What?
39mm
28 grams (Note: this is on a vegetable scale that is usually close to accurate. But still off a little) Don't have a good scale at this moment.
1905
Mint: A
Seated Left
Does not stick to a magnet

Any thoughts?
Thank you,
sandfisher1

It is definitely a fake. While the reversed figure is a dead giveaway, other details are wrong as well.

I had a gut feeling when starting this post and will probably keep this fake.
Once getting it home I had doubts it was silver.
Dropping it on the table it didn't make the right sound.
Study it and learn.
But will definitely talk to the guy at the coin club who put it in auction and let him know it was a fake.
The old saying holds up.
"If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is."
So much for the good deal.

I appreciate the replies and information.
Thank you,
