i suggest that you stick with beer or better, tequila and be sure to use enough. Much safer than the VM test, though possibly more time consuming, would be for you to do more research. Attribution and provenance could easily double or triple the value.

Too bad there isn't a tequila vending machine. That would be a VM test that is almost worth failing!

Out of curiosity, what does the edge look like?

The edge is smooth. It's not rolled and has no ridges. The entire Ghost Coin is smooth all over. Like a baby Terminator's behind.

Is it ever too early in the morning for a transcendental quote? Although this quotation from Henry David Thoreau is clearly intended to be a message about finding harmony with the natural world, as it is clearly prefaced with "We need the tonic of Wildness" and concludes with "We can never have enough of nature", perhaps the middle passage could be somewhat appropriate to this discussion of ghost coins in general and this one in particular, and still provide a slight and temporary respite from threads seeking specific identification and accurate conclusions:

"At the same time that we are earnest to explore and learn all things, we require that all things be mysterious and unfathomable, that land and sea be infinitely wild, unsurveyed and unfathomed to us because unfathomable".

Be well and happy out there, today and always - RM
