I was looking at 1998 1999 2000 Wide AM's (Click the link) trying to determine if this penny was a Wide AM or Close AM. I don't see a hook on the "G." I had to clean the penny a little bit just to make sure. The FG on the Close AM is not suppose to have the curve. I'm having a hard time determining it. I need you all's expert opinion on if this is a Close AM Penny or not.

If you're talking about the penny that I'm searching for, according to the Lincoln cent resource, its suppose to be a 1992 Close AM. The only thing that confuses me is the FG. It looks like the G sometimes has the curve to it which is why I posted this. I just wanted to get help from the forum to make sure. I've been constantly searching for a 1992 Close AM penny on my own.
Just wondering, you do realize it's supposed to be wide don't you?

I hope I get that lucky. I'm looking for either or (99 OR 92). I know you can get them off of eBay but I just get so excited searching myself. The closest I've ever gotten is a 1998 P.

found about 6 '00's & 3 '98WAM's--- but the '84 Doubled ear (sold for $100) was in the same box as the '99 WAM-- $215 for that pair to same buyer--- it was raining free boxes of cents:happysmiley: or pennies:tongue3::laughing9:

Wow!! I wish it was me. I've been on a hunt ever since I heard about the 92. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places because I get $20 rolls from the casino & also at my back I purchase $10 - $20 rolls and still haven't ran up on either one of them. I guess if I stop looking so hard, it'll just pop up. I guess I want it too bad.
