Counterstamped coin value?

Hi all.

I recently purchased some silver, mostly at melt. One of the Morgan's has a counter stamp. I'm assuming that because of the damage, the coin is ruined and only worth melt. But I thought I would check to make sure that some stamps aren't collectable. The stamp is J.A. Murphey

Hmm, seems they do have some collectability. At least it's probably worth more than melt.
