oops ...morocco 50 dirham coin

Try again!

The Moroccan franc was the major unit of currency from 1912 until they switched to the dirham in 1960. The franc continued to circulate as 1/100th of a dirham until 1974 when it was replaced by the santim (centime).

So, since the coin is 1974, it’s a 50 santim (santimat) coin… or half a dirham.

I like living in the US also and counting by 10's (Base-10 number system) is easy, so why do we still torture ourselves in the US with 1/8 inch, 12"/foot, 3 feet/yard, 1760 yards/mile and with "rods" thrown in for good measure?:BangHead:
Talk about confusing, but it's what I know so it's "easy"! :icon_scratch:
