Yes, I have seen cents get all kinds of color variations and most were due to exposure to moisture.

That means that you have a bronze 1982-D penny. Not really any value in your condition in my opinion.

finally- annealing errors can cause surface to appear brassy. result of zinc molecules migrating into copper and/or also a result of the wash process. found & sold a few and they do have value. error-ref.com details this in planchet errors, this site by CONECA is the go to for learning about Mint errors
