Yeah I've found a few quarters and a merc in my change, my sister let me look through some of her change one day and I found a walker, a 90%, and a few other misc silvers.

They are still around and every year there are less and less people who even know that the change in their pockets used to be made of something with actual value.

I realize now that this was probably a dumb thread to start.. this site has the answers I seek in regards to this topic. Hell, I didn't even realize some of you guys exchange for entire rolls of coins to sift through in order to nab silver. In my defense, I'm a noob and this website has like 800,000 sub-forums.

I decided to go through the coins I have, which is an 8th of the way full five-gallon water jug. Found a '42 War Nickel! Wasn't expecting to find anything tbh.

I believe there are still millions in circulation.
When I stopped dime hunting silver, my finds averaged one per $140 searched, customer rolls.
During my son’s short stint working the Taco Bell drive-thru, he found a total of six silver dimes, two buffalo nickels and about 20 wheats.
