i collect coins of all sorts i have books albums even online apps to store and keep logs of what i got well as i was putting my half dollars in the book i recieved in mail today for them as well as checking each one i have off my online app i came across this one amonst my collection when i go to put it in my book and check it off i noticed there isnt a slot for it nor does my app log show it its a 1973 kennendy half dollar with the mint mark S any information as to why its not on my check off online log or why it doesnt have a slot for it in my collection book is it some sort of rare one or what any info??

Maybe it was from a proof set. So it wouldn't be something you would find, but instead you would buy it in a set instead. Since 1975, San Francisco has only struck coins for collectors and investors, with the proof set being its main product (one major exception is the Susan B. Anthony dollar, produced 1979–1981).

It's a Proof from the 1973 proof set. Not particularly rare.

HOWEVER... Whatcha got going on with the lettering? Your photos are not that swell, but it looks like there may be some kind of doubling? Could just be mechanical/strike, but here is a link check: 1973-S DDO-002
