Looks like a '63 to me. The best way to find out is to look at the thickness, if it's an 1863 it will be thicker than a regular penny. They are commonly known as "fatty" indians, between 1859 and 1864 they were made with a copper nickel alloy and made thicker than later pennies.

I'm pretty sure it's 1863. The date would be larger on an 1883, plus the color looks more like a copper-nickel cent than a bronze one.
