Very cool - looks like it got punched twice on one side. The Penny experts on here will know more - Nice find.

The reverse of another cent was in contact. Either pressed in with force, or through an adhesive. It happens, and did not happen in the mint.

Time for more coffee.

I found a similar one once and after many years thinking I had something great, I realized it was an impression made on the penny from clear glue being sandwiched between two pennys. The backwards writing may tell the tale on yours.
