What's the most valuable coin YOU'VE ever discovered?
I found a 1885 Canadian quarter that graded at extremely fine.
The mintage was at 192,000 and value around $2000 Canadian which is roughly $1500 U.S.
I found it a few years ago in a very worked out park, here in Winnipeg. The signal was a short, "iffy" blip that was standing straight on edge and I'm sure many got the signal but walked on by. It was close to a giant elm tree.
I traded the coin for a large collection of medieval hammered coins, from various countries. I enjoy these coins much more and believe they will hold their value.

I will have to check this for sure it may have been a 1936 dime...I found it where an old mansion was and it was stuffed between the legs of a tree roots where I assume a squirrel hid it.Tree's are good hunting spots.I will get to you about the dime soon.Than you!

My parents bought an old farm when I was 16. While cleaning out the barn I found a donation card for a church that was being built in the area with 16 mercury dimes in it. My mother made me go to the church, long since built, and put $2.00 in the donations box. That was 30 years ago!
