While in line at the store, I noticed a worker dump 2 gallon size buckets into the coinstar machine. I heard the silver and offered to buy the reject bin. 2 40's Kennedy's, 4 silver dimes, 1 steelie, and a 1978 Burmuda dime.

What year is the quarter? Did you pay face value for the coins?

Thats a great score. I find myself trying to remember to always keep a few dollar bills in my wallet when I go to a store that has a coinstar. I want to be able to buy a persons rejects. I have been checking rejects slots of my local machines and have only found the occasional clads, and usually I find some foreign coins. I am averaging finding at least something on about 1 out of 5 times I check a machine. Don't forget to check the basket of the machine too. I have found a few coins that way as well.
