Hi all,

It's too cold to MD at home still (for me) and I couldn't justify bring the MD south for the week so I took a page from Monstarules (thanks for the tips in your thread!) and asked for the dirt cup and tray. Didn't use any pretences just told them I wanted it. The first Walmart con star was absolutely filthy so they dumped it in a bag.

The second and third Walmart coinstar were almost spotless inside. A few coins (~9) between the two. The second store said the guy had been in yesterday [emoji35]

No silver or anything else super but a nice little haul all the same.

PS: Thanks Bigwavedave for posting that picture of the machine guts in Monstarules thread. That was a huge help to be able to show them what I wanted.

All the earrings fog and the charms aren't marked (that I can see) so I doubt it. I need a magnifying glass when I get home to be sure. Pretty sure the "gold" earring is base metal too.

Oh and those burnt things I think are slagged pennies.

I agree, most small gold or silver earrings are marked on the post. A gold or silver earring will also never (that I have seen) have a stainless steel post. Nice haul, and congratulations on being bold enough to just ask for the loot!

Feels a little like I'm reviving this thread from the dead but I just got home and figured I'd close out the thread by confirming that under magnified inspection, each of those studs is junk [emoji19] There's always next time.
