And you'd be surprised how many people leave the change there, whether by accident or they hate change. Gotta be fast though. Vigilant checkers will scoop it up and throw it in those donation boxes.

Also check the coin dispensers on closed checkouts.

Not wanting to start another finds thread, my granddaughter checked the machine on our way out of Walmart today and found a 2009 Canadian quarter, a '63 silver Rosie, and a modern dime and penny. First silver in a while.
