It's about 16" x 9". From researching, it seems as if there was some kind of beef contest back in 1894, but I'm not coming up with a lot of info in English.

Imho this is a price plague from a limousine race cattle show 1894. The farmer would nail it to the stable door to show off. Was pretty common in Europe even into the 80ies.

My granduncle used always to point to those plagues and would ask "Price ox? Is that you or your son?" or something like that.. :laughing7:
